Displaying a VLAN

The VLANs currently known to the EPICenter databaseare displayed in the Component
Tree on the left. The panel on the right shows summary information about each VLAN.
Notethatintheexample shown inFigure 13-1, thereare two VLANs withthe samename,
but differing in the protocol filters applied.
You must add switches to the EPICenter database through Discovery or by using
the Add function in the Inventory Manager. Until you add a switch to the database,
you cannot create any VLANs on that switch.
Information about VLAN configurations is obtained when a switch is added to the
database.
