Dynamic Reports
This chapter describes how to use the ExtremeWare EPICenter Reports capability for:
• Viewing predefined Network Summary Reports from the Home EPICenter page
• Viewing predefined EPICenter status reports from the Dynamic Reports
• Creating new reports by writing Tcl scripts
Overview of EPICenter Reports
The EPICenter software provides several sets of HTML-based reports that provide
information about the devices managed by the EPICenter server. There are two types of
these reports:
• A Network Summary Report, available on the main EPICenter “Home” page,
displayed when you first log in through the EPICenter client.
• EPICenterDynamic Reports,availableseparatelyfromthe mainEPICenterclient,oras
an applet accessed from the client.
TheNetworkSummaryReportprovidessummarystatisticsabout thestatusofthedevices
beingmanagedbytheEPICenter server.ThisreportcanalsobeaccessedfromtheDynamic
Reports Main page.
EPICenterDynamic Reports area separatefeature from the mainEPICenter userinterface,
andcan beaccessed directly fromthe initial EPICenterStart-uppagewithoutloggingin to
the Java client interface. The Reports module can also be accessed from the EPICenter
Navigation toolbar.
